Both Obama and BP believe they’re gambling in a card game about this spill, and they’ve been anything but than forthcoming. This is yet another example that Obama’s presidency is capable of anything but sustainability.
He couldn’t be bothered to show up on time and ready for Copenhagen, he wants more nuclear energy, wants to lift the international ban on whaling, and has openly and intentionally tried to sidestep questions about how much oil is actually spilling. And on top of all this, he has allowed BP to make sublimely ignorant and arrogant statements about the “small” size of this spill.
